ABOUT US
Dr Tia Liu brings her artist eye and surgical precision in helping her patients achieve their reconstructive and aesthetic goals.
Dr Liu is a Canadian board-certified plastic surgeon. She received a Bachelor of Science honours degree from Queen's University and a Medical Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia. She completed her plastic surgery training at the University of Manitoba. Subsequently she pursued microsurgery, breast reconstruction and craniofacial surgery fellowships, and obtained a Masters degree in international medical research at Uppsala University in Sweden.
Dr Liu has worked with renowned reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons in North America and Europe, and has taught many students, residents and fellows internationally. She authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Clinical Instructor with the Department of Surgery at the University of British Columbia.
Dr Liu and her team are dedicated in bringing quality care to the Vancouver and Burnaby communities.
